POSITION SUMMARY
Are you a dedicated and compassionate LPN looking for a rewarding career opportunity in home care? We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced LPN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care in the Home Care setting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Review medication orders and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitor medication inventory levels and order refills as needed
- Properly label and store medications in accordance with safety regulations
- Educate patients on proper medication administration and potential side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
- Provide field supervision to client support staff
- Assist in training and other educational staff training programs
- Provide assistance as needed as the business needs change.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- Graduate from an approved School of Practical/Vocational Nursing holding a current state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Missouri.
Skills:
- Proven experience in medication administration and management
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and dosage calculations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience:
- At least three (2) years experience as a practical/vocational nurse in a hospital, nursing home or home care setting within the past year.
